Drop by the Harbour Museum and discover Port Dover's heritage.  The artefacts of the steamer Atlantic, sunk in 1852 off Long Point, tell a compelling story of immigrants coming to a new land, of gold and priceless cargo lost and a story of lost dreams.  Recall the days of the Summer Garden dance hall and explore the legend and lore of the commercial fishing industry.  Beaches and boardwalks, sunshine, bikinis and sandals, summer concerts, fishing tugs and great restaurants are all waiting for you.

If you are a bit of an adrenaline junky and love to do exciting things you can go out to Long Point Eco Adventures located on Front Road, between St. Williams and Turkey Point for an afternoon of ziplining.  The instructors will get you harnessed up, give you a helmet and some gloves and give you some brief instructions.  It is easy and anyone can do it as long as you weigh more than 70 pounds.  The trained professionals do everything for you.  This is apparently as close to flying as you can possibly get without being in a plane or parasailing.  Long Point Eco Adventures also offer canoeing, kayaking, walking trails, mountain biking and an observatory.  You can take a look at their website or call 1-877-743-TOUR for more information.
